Enshrouded’s crafting is split across 48 named stations in the 1.0 files. 11 are survivors you rescue and bring to your base, and each one unlocks a recipe list. The others are workstations you build, mostly from survivor recipes, to process materials and cook.

Recipe counts include upgrade and variant recipes. The Barber has no recipes. Keen’s 1.0 notes say he changes your look and, since 1.0, your body proportions.
Some 1.0 changes from Keen’s changelog:
- The Ancient Researcher is the new survivor “specializing in Ancient knowledge and recipes”.
- Mei-Yin Chen now crafts vanity items for gold coins and took over recipes like fireworks and confetti bombs.
- The combat class survivors upgrade eternal spells and eternal arrows.
- You can set a survivor’s roaming distance before you place them (minimum 2 metres).

The Sparkworks Workbench is new in 1.0. Keen describes Sparkworks as a logic system with a 2D graph editor for building switches, traps, puzzles and encounters into a shared adventure.

These turn raw materials into crafting materials:
- Smelter (5 recipes) and Blast Furnace (9): metal bars. See how to make iron bars.
- Charcoal Kiln (3): charcoal from logs and dirt.
- Grinding Stones (14) and Mill (14).
- Laboratory (11) and Ectoplasm Press (6).
- Spinning Machine (3), Spinning Wheel (2), Loom (1), Tanning Station (1) and Drying Rack (5).
- Oven, Butter Churn, Beehive, Coffee Brewer and Roaster for food.
No-station recipes
100 recipes in the 1.0 files have no named station. 57 are hand-crafted, so you make them yourself wherever you are. The other 43 belong to unnamed internal workshops. The hand-crafted ones include the Simple Fishing Rod and a 2-ingredient version of the Lockpick (see how to get lockpicks).
