Enshrouded Skill Tree Guide: All 231 Skills and What They Cost

The Enshrouded skill tree from the game files: 231 skills across Warrior, Mage, Ranger and neutral nodes, point costs, attributes and the best early picks.

A constellation of glowing gold and teal rune circles joined by lines over a misty mountain valley at night.

The Enshrouded skill tree in the 1.0 files has 243 nodes, and 231 of them are named skills. You earn points as you level and by destroying Shroud Roots, then spend them on a single shared tree. Every class sits in that one tree, so you can mix classes freely.

Heads-up: Keen’s changelog says existing saves get a skill tree reset the first time they load in 1.0. Spend your points again before you head out.

By type, 123 are passives, 43 are active abilities and 65 are attribute nodes. Every node is on the skills page. To plan a build on the full tree, use the skill tree planner. The build planner post explains how it works.

What skills cost

Each node has a point cost and, for some passives, up to 3 ranks.

If you add up cost times ranks for every node, you get 675 points to buy the whole tree. That’s our sum, not a number Keen publishes, but it shows you’ll never own everything, so every point should count.

Attribute nodes

The 65 attribute nodes are the small stat bumps that link the bigger skills:

  • Constitution, Strength, Intelligence and Spirit: 11 nodes each
  • Endurance: 8 nodes
  • Dexterity: 7 nodes

A handful of named attribute nodes sit on top of these, such as Barbarian, Thick Skin, Graceful Stride, Exalted and Arcane Concentration.

Neutral skills in the centre

The 19 neutral nodes help every build. These ones stand out:

Picks worth taking early

  • Dessert Stomach (Ranger, 4 points): “You gain one additional Food slot.” Food buffs are a big share of your health, stamina and mana, so one more slot pays off in every fight.
  • Blink (Mage, 4 points): replaces the dodge roll with a short-range teleport for 20 stamina. It also replaces the sideways roll from Strategic Maneuver.
  • Updraft (Ranger, 4 points): the glider lift most players take sooner or later. In 1.0 you can configure how it behaves in the game settings.

What changed in 1.0

From Keen’s 1.0 changelog:

  • New skills: Aerial Wand Attack, Wand Evasion Attack, Advanced Necromancy, Totem Mastery, Blast and Cast, Puncture, Barrage and Survival Instinct.
  • Dagger skills moved from the warrior area to the assassin area.
  • Veteran, One-Handed Specialization, Inner Fires and Snap changed position, and many skills got cheaper.
  • 18 new Shroud Roots (12 in Cinder’s Cradle and 6 at the world’s edges) mean more skill points. All 60 Shroud Roots and 18 Elixir Wells are on the interactive map.

You can see Aerial Wand Attack, Wand Evasion Attack, Advanced Necromancy and Totem Mastery in the database now.
